Jefferson Gas
LLC
is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Kentucky Energy Development,
LLC.
Other subsidiaries include Public Gas Company Inc., a local distribution
company and Kentucky Gas
Development, LLC, a Kentucky gas
producer. All three operating
companies have their roots in
the 1950’s and early 1960’s in
Breathitt County, Kentucky.
Operations now extend throughout
the east central Kentucky region
including the counties of Boyd,
Lawrence, Johnson, Magoffin,
Morgan, Wolfe, Breathitt, Lee,
Menifee and Montgomery.
Jefferson Gas is a gathering company purchasing gas from 30 eastern
Kentucky producers and reselling
to local distribution companies,
industrials and the interstate
market. The company operates
over 250 miles of 4” through 12”
pipeline, plus many miles of 2”
and 3” gathering lines. Eight
compressors move purchased gas
throughout the system and in to
the interstate transmission
lines. Jefferson is well
positioned to serve eastern
Kentucky producers and will be
expanded as producer needs
dictate. |
